Puzzle games built for a five-minute break

Not every puzzle game respects the fact that you might close it mid-level. The best ones save your exact state, so you can pick up right where you left off after the bus stops. Those are the ones we love for short breaks.

We look for puzzles with clear logic and no artificial timers. A good level should feel solvable through thinking, not luck or guessing. Physics puzzles do this especially well when they're tuned right.

Offline is a must here. A puzzle game that pauses to load an ad or check a server ruins the flow completely. The ones we recommend keep everything local and let you play in silence.

Our advice: keep two or three of these installed at once. Different puzzle types suit different moods, and rotating between them keeps them all feeling fresh.
