Neon Dust Rally keeps things old-school: top-down view, tap to accelerate, hold to drift. The tracks are all hand-drawn deserts and canyons, and the art gives it a warm, slightly retro look that stands out from the usual 3D racers.
Drifting is the whole game. Getting a clean line through a hairpin feels great, and the ghost of your previous best lap pushes you to keep shaving off seconds. Everything unlocks through play and works offline.
The car handling takes a while to click, and the first few races felt slippery. Once it did, though, I kept coming back for one more lap.
